Hey, what's the latest status on your weight loss Annamarie? You must be a twig by now! I tried Nutrisystem for a week and decided it wasn't going to work for me especially after I gained 2 pounds! I could deal with the food - not great but edible - but not with the gassiness from all of the vegs and fruits I had to eat. I'm sure if I stuck with it my system would have adapted but I know I can do the same kind of diet on my own with better food just eat less than I was. I hate being a quitter but I'll finish up the first month's worth of food and hopefully I'll lose SOMETHING. I'm trying to get on the treadmill (thanks again for that John) at least 3 times a week in the morning before work but that's the only exercise I'm getting besides walking the dog when I get home early enough to do that. I wish I could not be so conscientious about my job and just blow it off and leave at 5:00 every day like everyone else does but I don't feel like I can. It's just me I guess. Probably the menopause thing starting up that's making me not be able to lose weight too. Karen, did you see the nutritionist yet? What's up with that? Who wants to walk in the Thanksgiving day race this year?
Patty - Mom said you were dieting, and my thought was that you were hitting that "50" weight gain milestone. Menopause doesn't help, I'm sure. Too bad about the Nutri-System, but you're right...you can certainly put together food just as good as better on your own. My problem, as is yours, is lack of exercise. Work just takes up too much of our time! At least you have a dog to walk. It's tough to go for a walk with cats.
We're old. Get used to it. We could live on 1000 calories per day and eat nothing but fruit and vegetables. Yech! My exercise level has dropped off significantly in the past two years. Here I am sitting at the computer instead of down on the weight bench or out taking a walk!
Grow old gracefully and give it your best. Don't beat yourself up for failures, but revel in the successes!

I stopped going to WW but am still trying to watch my portions. I'm still at the weight I was after losing about 12 lbs on the system, so that's good. Of course, I weighted myself after my night of purging for my colonoscopy so that helped! Speaking of which, Dr. Brown said everything looks fine. Blood tests still showed anemia and am waiting on the Vitamin D results. Next stop OB-GYN.

Congratulations! - Double digits, now that's impressive! What's your goal?
My next milestone is 16 lbs, but I'd like to lose a total of 25.
VERY NICE! Congratulations! You should be rightfully proud. So... when are you leaving Dave?
We're leaving to go get Sara. She will be home for a little more than a week, then off to DC.
Who reads this blog, anyway?
i read it
I check it everyday, but not much happening lately
Annie - what's the latest count? Mom says you look pretty skinny.
Tina
Annie looks skinny!?! Congratulations Annamarie! I also look skinny, if you ignore the spare tire around my middle.
